3.5 acres of employment land acquired for an alternative mixed development providing a combination of the medical centre (2,200 sqm), a 74 bed care home and a children’s nursery even though the proposed uses were not policy compliant for employment designated land. However, the three services combined employ around 180 staff. All provide essential infrastructure services from within the community and consequently the LPA supported the application.
